Chapter 1994 Just Do It For The Views:>Ep3
- Turning to Riley I was shocked that she did not quickly snap back with a biting retort. Instead she looked at me with amazement in her eyes. This was a new experience for me, because I don't think I had ever looked into Riley's eyes and seen anything there but disdain and anger for me. "My viewers must have heard us talking, and thought we were actual siblings. My chat is going crazy with talk about us already, and how excited they are to have an actual pair of brother and sister. My viewer count has gone up by almost a thousand." She explained in a soft stunned voice. This again was novel, as I was used to her voice always carrying a tone of mockery when she spoke to me.
- I furrowed my brow and glanced towards the monitor showing her chat, not believing what she was saying. But the messages shown there were pouring in too fast to read, and her viewer count had indeed grown substantially. "And that's not all, someone donated 50 dollars asking for you to join me, and promised to donate more if you stayed. Other people in chat are promising they'll donate too if you join the stream." Riley informed me, still confusingly soft spoken. I was shocked by the offer, and even more surprised by how nearly kind Riley's voice was. She must have been completely blindsided by what her viewers were asking for.
- My astonishment was quickly overridden by my distaste for Riley and my lack of interest in the success of her streaming career. "Well, sucks to be them then. There is no way I'm joining you for whatever you are doing." I declared, not wanting to be a tool for her to use on her pathway to fame. I gave one more glance at her viewer count and saw that it was still growing as I turned to leave.
